At what age do kids start losing their baby teeth??

My daughter just turned 5 the end of february and she just said to me that her one front tooth feels like it hurts a little, I wiggled it and it moved ever so slightly, do you think she might be getting ready to start losing her baby teeth already???

At what age do kids start losing their baby teeth??
My middle daughter was loosing teeth by the time she was 5 1/2, it's different for every kid, my oldest was almost 6, and now we will wait to see what happens to my 2yr old, so it is possible! Does she have a dentist, take her to make sure it is not a cavity. My oldest had a cavity and it abscessed, ended up getting it pulled out, but it was a baby tooth!
Reply:Five is the magic age. It continues until about 12.
Reply:Its different for everybody I have only lost six of my baby teeth. I dont know why this happens. GL!
Reply:yes, now kids start losing them at 5.
Reply:Kids usually start losing baby teeth around age 5 or 6, with the front botton two being the first to go.
Reply:my daughter lost her first tooth at 6...shes 7 now and hardly got a tooth...do the adult teeth grow in straight away?
Reply:i lost my first baby tooth when i was four and my sisters lost there around that age to so i'm guessing its normal. theres nothing wrong with it.
Reply:for girls, typically 5-6 years old is when the bottom front two teeth will come out. if it isn't those two teeth that she is pointing at, take her to a dentist, preferable a pediatric dentist to have a look at her. she could have a cavity.

My cat is losing all of his teeth between his fangs. The vet doesn't seem to think it's a big deal...

My cat is around 6-7 years old..I'm not quite sure because I adopted him after I got back from Iraq and he was supposedly around 3 or 4 then. He's losing all the teeth between his fangs and the vet doesn't seem to care. What do I do?

My cat is losing all of his teeth between his fangs. The vet doesn't seem to think it's a big deal...
Well its weird that your vet doesnt care, I'd try another vet. But at the same time, my cat Prince is only 3 years old, and he's loosing the little teeth on the bottom between his 'fangs'. his teeth came in really crooked (ive had him since he was born, i was fostering his mom) and they've always been funny, but he is just fine without them. His gums are healthy and pink, and his fangs and molars are fine. If this is the case with your kitty, I'd maybe get a 2nd opinion, but not get too worried about it. As long as he's on a good diet and has been checked for diseases, it could just be a weird thing like my cats and he's as healthy as they come.
Reply:teath wear out and are broken and just like human teeth they do not grow after the cat become an adult. and the advanced age.
Reply:I'd recommend seeing another vet. Those incisor teeth are used not just for feeding, but also for grooming as the kitty uses them for picking out items caught in her fur.

She might be able to get along without them, but they're certainly not useless or vestigial structures.

I'd also be worried about what is CAUSING the tooth loss. It could be malnutrition, or tooth decay, or be a symptom of something much more serious.

Yeah, definitely find another vet and get her opinion.
Reply:Old age. A couple of our cats started losing their teeth when they were around 7 or 8 years old. When they ate dry food they lost more, so we started feeding the elderly ones only wet food from them on. I don't think there's really much else you could do.
Reply:How does his mouth look (and smell) in general? My cat has quite a problem with her gums and as a consequence - her teeth. The vet already removed 3 because of major decay, and she's only 6yo. Apart from seeing another vet, if your cat has swollen/red/bleeding gums, it might be a good idea to clean his teeth at least few times a week (there are toothbrushes and toothpastes specifically for cats; also wipes like "Kitty ToothWipes" which I found easiest to use)... That can be a challenge but it does help.

Changing diet also helps, they say...
Reply:In response to the above users, 6-7 years is NOT old for a cat. They live to be around 14 years or longer if they are well cared for. My friend's cat is 17 and going strong, even after surviving breast cancer and a horrible cold. My cat lived to be 15. If a cat is dead before then it was the result of neglect!

As to your question, get a different vet. Preferably at a different clinic. As has been previously mentioned, it is likely the result of decay and needs to be treated immediately before it gets worse.
Reply:Perhaps get a different vet! My vet was supposed to do a dental cleaning every year with his checkup and didn't, then what all offended when we got cheesed off at him because our cat had to almost have his teeth pulled (luckily it was not that bad yet). Make sure the vet cleans his teeth at least once a year.
Reply:Get a second opinion from a different vet from another clinic.

At what age do cats stop losing their baby teeth?

I recently adopted a shelter cat - we didn't get a real estimate on his age. Based on his behavior and general size, we guess he's about a year old. Very recently, however, he lost a molar, and hasn't lost any other teeth in the few months we've had him. So I was wondering - what age do cats stop losing their baby teeth? I realize every cat is different, but I would like to have a more definitive estimate of my kitty's age.

At what age do cats stop losing their baby teeth?
Kittens should have most of their adult teeth by the age of six months. Not to say that some aren't late bloomers. Your cat may have lost an infected tooth. I would take him to the vet just to be safe.
Reply:take him to a vet to determine age...

Reply:Can't don't lose teeth like humans. Take him to the vet!

My dog is 5 months old, should she still be losing teeth?

She's changing her baby teeth - some dogs are faster than others, my corgi is almost 6 months, his front teeth are all changed, but the ones on the side still needs to come out.

My dog is 5 months old, should she still be losing teeth?
yes. it's normal.
Reply:yes. they start to lose them at 4 and a half months and stop at around 5 months.
Reply:My puppy didn't start losing a lot of teeth until 5 months. I wouldn't worry about it until 8 months.
Reply:yes its normal. my puppy started to lose her teeth around 4 1/2 months old and she stoped losing them around 5 1/2 to 6 months old.
Reply:It's not abnormal for puppies to lose them up to six months or so according to my vet. Actually my 3 y/o 11lb dog still has one of his baby teeth. The vet said that provided we keep his teeth clean, there isn't really a reason to take it out. My puppy is almost 5 months and I've never actually noticed him losing a tooth, I just know that he had a gap between his front teeth and his back and now he doesn't (which is a bit of a bummer because I used to use that gap as a place to put my fingers if I had to pry something out of his mouth, like my cloths. AT least he's getting much better with "drop it")
Reply:Yes, it's normal- our male didn't get all of his in until after 6 monhts.
Reply:its normal,most dogs do it
Reply:usually by 6 months they will have lost all their baby teeth, but not always, when I had my dog, a shih-tzu poodle mix, spayed at 6 months, the vet had to pull 4 of her baby teeth that were still strongly imbedded.

When do kittens start losing their kitten teeth?

Last night my 5 mth old kitten lost her first kitten tooth. Is this not too soon? When do they start losing their kitten teeth?

When do kittens start losing their kitten teeth?
They usually start to lose baby teeth when about four to five months old. Adult teeth should all be in by the time she is eight months.
Reply:I had a kitten once, and I don't ever remembering her loosing her teeth.
Reply:Nope, my kitten started losing her teeth when she was around 5 months too, so its normal.
Reply:They begin to lose their baby teeth around 4 months of age, but you won't even know it's happening. As quickly as the baby tooth falls out, it is immediately replaced by an adult tooth.

Best Wishes
Reply:My kitten lost her first baby tooth when she was 4 mos. old. Didn't seem to bother her at all.

Losing Puppy teeth?

My puppy is nine months old. I haven't found any puppy teeth and in her mouth it doesn't LOOK like she lost any. She should have lost them by now, right? I was just wondering what you all think.

(She does have some crooked teeth and when she was really young she didn't have an underbite, now as she grew, she does. It's kinda cute though.)

Losing Puppy teeth?
Are you sure your pup does not have retained teeth? It happens usually in toy breeds and I am not sure what kind you have. What happens is they keep their baby teeth as the adult teeth try to come in and it pushes the adult teeth out of line which can cause the under bite your seeing now. If you are absoultely sure he never lost his baby teeth make an appointment at the vet.
Reply:Puppies usually have the perm. teeth by 9 months, at least in our breed.
Reply:don't worry about it my dogs did not fall out until she was about 1 year old.
Reply:She should actually have all of her adult teeth by now. Puppy (milk) teeth usually start to fall out around 4 months, and adult teeth should all be in by 7 or 8 months. But you might not have even noticed that her baby teeth were falling out, I`ve only actually seen a couple of my puppy`s. He`s lost quite a few, and they often swallow them because they are so tiny.

Have the vet take a look, just to be sure. If you are getting her spayed soon, the vet will probably remove any remaining baby teeth while she is `under`.
Reply:all of her puppy teeth shouldve fallen out by now. and they can swallow their teeth so you usually wont find them.
Reply:Your dog should be fine, by now all of her puppy teeth are more thna likely gone, plus you usually don;t see them because they swallow them most of the time, I only saw one or two when my dog lost her's so I wouldn;t worry about it.
Reply:It all depends on the puppy just like with babies some are slower then others in looseng their teeth and getting their adult teeth. My King is 9 mos old and he has all of his adutl teeth. He is a german shepard nlack lab mix. Sometimes they will loose there teeth and you wont find them laying around I never found any of Kings. If it would make you feel better call your vet and ask him about.

Is it normal for my almost 5 month old Chihuahua/Dotson puppy to start losing teeth???

My puppy was being her usually self and playing with me and biting everything (including me) in sight!! That's when I saw blood.. So I looked and seen that it was coming from where she had a tooth and on the other side she had a tooth that is in the same spot just opposite dangling!! Is that normal?? She's my first puppy to take care of and I'm freaking out!! And.. If it is normal how do I make her feel better?? I know it kills loosing teeth!! And growing new ones.. How do I ease the pain for her?? Thanks for listening to my concerns!!!

Is it normal for my almost 5 month old Chihuahua/Dotson puppy to start losing teeth???
Yes, she's just losing her milk teeth, it's normal. Her adult teeth will come in. Try a puppy Kong (it's blue and white), you can put her favorite treat (peanut butter, etc) in it and freeze it, or try a Chilly Bone (you soak it in water and freeze it) to help sooth her gums.
Reply:You need do nothing, it's a natural process all pups, like kids, go through...and you might want o look at the second breed there- there's no 'dotson breed.
Reply:whats a dotson??? dachshund you mean?? dogs are like people, they lose their baby teeth and get "big people" teeth. watch the canine teeth though. sometimes the adult teeth can come in and the baby ones wont fall out. that could require surgery
Reply:She's just losing her baby teeth, like humans do, too. There are plenty of dog teething toys for her to chew on. It'll help the new teeth break through her gums quicker. Also, make sure she's got some soft puppy food. It may be tough for her to eat dry food, so she may not eat as much if it's dry food, and she needs her nutrition! Other than that, it's completely normal, and it's just going to take time for those new teeth to grow in. Also, I think you're thinking of the Dachshund breed (pronounced Dock-sund). They're more popularly known as wiener dogs, hot dogs, etc, because they have such long bodies and such little legs! They're commonly bred with Chihuahuas, too. Good luck with your puppy! She'll be fine, just get her some teething toys, some soft food, and plenty of extra love and attention. Also... check for loose teeth or falling out teeth... don't want her to swallow any of them!!!

Losing Baby Teeth?

My son's bottom teeth are growing in uneven and they are making his back teeth push together and now my son keeps thinking he has something stuck in his teeth and now he is saying sometimes that his teeth hurt.

Has anyone else had this happen with new teeth?

Also He is 6 and hasn't lost anymore teeth.

When do they lose there front teeth?

Losing Baby Teeth?
I don't think it is unusual he hasn't lost more teeth. I seem to remember there being a long time between losing the bottom and the top teeth - maybe as much as a year - and then another long period before more teeth were lost. Now, at 10, in the past month, he has lost 7 teeth! If you are concerned about the spacing and he is having pain, it may not be a bad idea to consult your dentist. Perhaps there are adult teeth coming in, or something else going on that is causing him pain. The dentist can tell a lot about what is going on by doing x-rays - ours told us our son would be losing a bunch of teeth all at once and soon, and she was right on the mark :) Good luck!
Reply:depending when he got them depends on when they will loose them...if they are all jammed in there right now %26amp; he doesn't have many adult teeth, you may want to take him to the dentist to get some ideas. they may try a retainer to help with the comfort for him.
Reply:usually around age 6 is when they lost their front 2 teeth. Sometimes they need to be pulled. You may want to get him in sometime soon to see a dentist.
Reply:He should be losing his front teeth anytime. If he's having a problem then you might want to take him to the dentist. If there's not enough room for his new teeth they can probably go ahead and pull a baby tooth.
Reply:My son is almost seven and just lost his front teeth. I think that if he has pain, it would be worth checking on with a dentist. They do xrays that help you know what is coming and if they need help to get there.
Reply:Well I can only tell my tell. My son is 9 years old. He just got six baby teeth pulled at the dentist because they would not fall out on there on. He has two more teeth has to come out.

Before his next appointment in Sept or they will pull those to. Th dentist asked me your son is not a fan on pulling his own teeth. I told him no. Now I have a nephew who will pull his teeth out in a minute. It will happen soon enough on those front teeth. You know that's usually the first ones to go.
Reply:My daughter lost her two bottom front teeth at the age of 6, almost 7. The new teeth were completely grown in before those two teeth fell out though so they were way behind. I went to the dentist and he said there is really nothing they can do about it at this point and he said in general they won't pull baby teeth. So we just had to wait, they did fall out and the adult teeth have moved forward some but still aren't completely in line with the rest of the teeth. The dentist said that just because they are crooked now it doesn't mean they will be crooked forever. My friend's son has really crooked teeth, at the age of 8 he had to wear what they referred to as an "appliance" for a few weeks, it's all to start straightening his teeth and eventually get him ready for braces. My daughter is 7 1/2 and she just now lost one of her top front teeth, it's been loose forever, I'm so glad it finally came out! Good Luck.
Reply:Get him to a dentist if he's having pain. My youngest daughter's permanent teeth came in before she lost her baby teeth and she was in agonizing pain from it because her teeth were being pushed all around. The dentist pulled 4 of her teeth and the pain was immediately relieved. He explained that some child's teeth do not come in to the appropriate spot (misplaced) therefore they do not push out the baby teeth correctly.
Reply:You've got to get him in to see a dentist, so they can intervene if necessary.
Reply:Take him to the dentist.

How old are dogs suppose to be when they start losing teeth?

I have a chi-weenie and he is about 4 months and his 2 front teeth are already gone.....is this ok?

How old are dogs suppose to be when they start losing teeth?
Usually 17 weeks for the front teeth.
Reply:Usually puppies start loosing teeth at about 6 months. Although it is not unheard of for them to loose teeth early. Was there any trauma to his mouth? I would check with your vet if you are concerned

My 5 year old son's first tooth is loose.... is it too early for him to be losing teeth?

My 5 year old son's first tooth is loose.... is it too early for him to be losing teeth?
The age of your son isnt really a big factor in his teeth loss. My daughter had a similar situation, except hers was in the front, where the tooth grew in before the old one left. Hers looked hidious and i was worried sick. The dentist just told us that it was time for the baby tooth to come out and he had her practice loosening it up, it wasn't even a loose tooth yet! So then the old one came out and the new one grew in. Now weither or not he will need braces is something only a dentist will know for sure. Children grow and change so much as does their skull and facial structures. Most childrens teeth are a little crooked but like i said, a lot of things can factor into needing braces like accidents, wisdom teeth problems, and heridity that lead. Keep him brushing and to a dentist evey 6months and you will be on the right track for optimum dental health for your child.
Reply:No. It is a perfectly normal age to be losing teeth at.
Reply:No, this is very normal. My brother lost his first tooth when he was two. The tooth behind it is his big boy permanent tooth.
Reply:It's not too early and, if he already has a tooth growing in behind it, the baby tooth SHOULD be loose. The tooth should fall out on it's own and the permanent one will drift down into its place. It might help for him to wiggle the baby tooth a bit to encourage it to come out. Don't worry - it won't hurt anything. It's perfectly normal to start losing teeth at 5. =)
Reply:I started losing teeth early like that. I also got teeth early as an infant (at a few months). My teeth are fine. I needed braces, but just on the front 8 teeth on top and bottom, not my entire mouth. I also only had them on for a little over a year. I also had almost all of my adult teeth by 8 started getting my wisdom teeth at 10 (12 year molars at 8)! The orthodontist wouldn't believe my mom when she told him, until he saw them himself. I still have them with no problems, and I'm 26 now. I don't know what they do with kids now, but when I had braces, a lot of kids had them on for years. I'm sure he's fine. All kids are different. I knew one guy who had to get the rest of his baby teeth pulled at about age 18, and he's fine, too. Don't sweat it, but take him to a dentist regularly.
Reply:If another tooth is growing behind it, then I'd say the loose tooth is late for departure. I had perfect straight baby teeth and the same happened to me. So yes he will need braces. Start saving.
Reply:No it's not to early..and the new tooth coming in is pushing the baby tooth out....nothing to worry about. It is however, a bit early to tell whether he'll need braces or not. Got some years before that's an issue...Enjoy your lil guy!
Reply:doesn't really matter

nearly everyone gets braces later on anyway

the tooth is probably loose because the other tooth is pushing it out

I'd only be worried if his adult teeth have any problems

ask your dentist if your still unsure about these answers
Reply:It is the right time for him to be losing teeth and it is normal for another tooth to be showing already. The other tooth coming in is what pushes the old one out. It is too early to tell if he will need braces yet or not. I wouldnt start worrying quite yet.
Reply:OK what ever one here says will not have the right answer believe me . Because we can't see the way you son teeth are . And what way the look. But you will have to just go to a dentist . You son will not be a scared . As long as you don't tell him about a injection .
Reply:No that is the normal age

My 5 year old son's first tooth is loose.... is it too early for him to be losing teeth?
yes your son is at the age when he should start loosing his teeth. My son would grow teeth behind his baby teeth and have 2 sets at the same time, then when he would loose his baby teeth, his adult teeth straightened themselves out perfectly. He now has a perfect set of adult teeth. You nor your dentist will know if your son will need braces until ALL his baby teeth are out. Don't let them tell you different. My dentist told me my 8 year old daughter needed braces. I took her to an orthodontist and he said my dentist was wrong, she wasn't even done loosing her baby teeth. Now her teeth are straighting themselves out as well.
Reply:My daughter started loosing her teeth at 6. Her adult teeth have always grown in first pushing out her baby teeth. As did mine when I was little. I don't think it's going to mean he will need braces, but many people do anyway.
Reply:My second son had the same thing happen to him. He lost his first tooth 6 weeks after he turned 5. If his baby tooth does not fall out soon, then call the dentist. His adult tooth moved nicely into place after his baby tooth feel out.
Reply:This is all normal. Make sure you take him for his regular dental check-ups and all should be fine. If there are any problems your dentists should catch them.
Reply:this is whn my son started loosing his teeth....
Reply:I was losing my baby teeth @ age 5.

Reply:This is normal.Everybody is different. I have 2 sons.7%26amp;6.My 7 yr old started to loose teeth @ 5. My 6 yr old hasnt lost any yet. We're still waiting.
Reply:It is normal for kids to start loosing there teeth at 5 years old. The tooth behind that one is probably his permanent tooth and thats the reason for the loose tooth. Yes thats normal but if you have been taking him for his cleanings than they should have taken a full mouth x-ray. They can tell by that if he will need braces. Like if his permanent teeth are too big or maybe he has too many teeth. Just ask your dentist the next time you go about the braces.
Reply:Sounds fine to me. My daughter lost her first tooth this July when she was just 5. She lost 3 more pretty quick after that. Don't worry if they come in a bit weird at first. His mouth will grow and they will settle. But he should be seeing a dentist. Just to make sure all is well..
Reply:My son lost his first tooth at 5 years old. He is 6 now and has lost 4!
Reply:The adult tooth "pushes" out the baby tooth. Soon the child will be able to feel the crown of the adult tooth in the gum tissue with his/her tongue after the baby tooth falls out.

Wait until all the baby teeth fall out and all the adult teeth are in place before you get braces. Adult teeth are a different size than baby teeth... so while you have two different sizes of teeth, or some teeth are not all present, a kid's mouth will look somewhat awkward anyway.
Reply:5 or 6 is the right age. You wont be able to determine if braces are needed until around 11 or 12.

Reply:Teeth {Most req. word}

Teeth was the most requested dream word of all so here goes... If you dream of having false teeth this indicates that you will have unexpected help on a problem. To dream of rotten teeth shows that you have been telling someone a lie or using your smooth words for getting your own way no matter what. If your teeth are rotten, crooked, and/or falling out this means that your lies are hurting someone very badly and that you will soon be found out. If you dream you have swallowed a tooth you will soon have too 'eat your words'. It becomes much easier to interpret this kind of dream if you think of teeth as representing words. When the dreamer is not the one with the bad teeth you will naturally have to watch out for someone lying to you.

Is it too early for her to be losing teeth?

My daughter will be five in three months and her two bottom, middle, teeth are loose. One of which will be out any second! As exciting as this milestone is, is this too early? THe teeth that are loose were her first teeth that she got when she was four months old and she also sucks her first two fingers, so we hope that she hasn't loosened them some how. Just curious!!!

Is it too early for her to be losing teeth?
No, she's OK. There's a wide variation of normal.

Considering that she got her first teeth early, and also that's she's a girl (girls tend to have teeth before boys), then it's going to be fine.

BTW, the adult teeth will often appear slightly BEHIND the baby teeth.

Have a fun time with the tooth fairy!
Reply:It seems very young, but perhaps your family has a history of losing teeth early, generally its about age 7 or 8. I would seriously ask your dentist to check her teeth. Just in case she may have fallen and loosened them.
Reply:nope i lost my first tooth when i was 3... however i lost it cause i fell and knocked it out by falling face first into a dresser. i lost my first actual tooth when i was almost 5. its normal
Reply:My granddaughter lost hers at an early age. She has lost about 7 and will be 7 yrs old Jan 4
Reply:I take care of kids ages 6-8, and most of them are just now losing their teeth or they've already lost a few. I wouldn't worry too much, although you really should push more of breaking the thumb sucking habit now.

Long term thumb sucking can narrow the top jaw slightly, requiring braces.
Reply:Actually she is doing great. Don;t worry. Kids start loosing their anterior upper and lower teeth around age 6. Some kids loose them earlier some a little later, nothing to be concerned about. In regards with her thumb sucking, that is a problem. That can cause malformation of her dentition, as well as cross bite. Because of her sucking the palate becomes very u shaped and anterior teeth become a little protruded outward. Visit your local dentist to make sure her jaw growing pattern is good. Hope this helps,
Reply:This is way too soon. The average age for shedding the first primary teeth is 6-7 years old. There are local and systemic conditions which can lead to early tooth loss. These conditions may include severe periodontal disease and metabolic disturbances.
Reply:it is perfectly healthy. I lost my teeth at around that age too.
Reply:No....you should expect to start losing primary teeth at around age 5. Everyone is different. Some are earlier some are later. The first two you should expect to be loose are the two bottom middle teeth. The next two will be the two upper middle teeth. From there they will work their way back. Usually they will get loose in pairs. If one is loose one one side the other side shouldn't be far behind. Usually by around age 12 you should have lost all of your baby teeth. The thing to worry about with the finger sucking is keeping the adult teeth from fully erupting or causing the upper teeth to 'flare' forward. Open-bite is usually what I see. Where when the teeth are closed together the upper %26amp; lower teeth leave an opening in the front. This needs braces to correct.

I keep having this recurring dream I am losing teeth, what does it mean?

I've had this dream before, but now I'm starting to have it everyday. It's always the SAME teeth too. My back molar to the left, my front right incisor, one of my bottom teeth. It's always 3. They always crumble when I loose them and I loose them just by wiggling them. Last night was different though because I actually had one tooth growing in place of another one, but not for any of the others. My boyfriend has made appearances in my dreams, so has my grandparents, my sister..and Tyra Banks? It's freaking me out and I sometimes even have a dream within a dream that I wake up and my teeth are still missing. This has led to my chronic brushing of teeth. So what do these funny dreams mean?

I keep having this recurring dream I am losing teeth, what does it mean?
Loosing your teeth is a very common dream. I have had it a few times myself. The fact that you are having it as a recurring dream and almost nightly is a bit unusual. This suggests that there is something pertinent in your life that is demanding attention. Losing your teeth is a fear of loss. But the actual loss varies from person to person, of course. So you must decide what is it in your life right now that you are fearing you will lose?

The people that have shown up in your dream have varied - so of course, all of those people aren't going to die as some of the superstitious responders have written! With the exception of Tyra Banks (she's been in a few of my dreams, too!) all of the other people are family members. Sometimes when we dream and we awake, we might actually confuse one dream with another dream. So, if we assume that Tyra Banks was actually part of another dream, all of the people in your losing your teeth dreams have been family members. So you should begin by asking yourself what is it that you fear losing with regards to your family? Are you and your BF getting more serious? Are you going to move in with him? Are you getting engaged? Is something happening in your family? Parents getting a divorce or separation? A family member moving away? Any such event that causes you a fear of loss could manifest this type of dream. Good luck to you. Ease up on the brushing of your teeth - you don't want to develop an OCD over this!
Reply:It is possible that you are "gnashing" your teeth at night, which is triggering this dream. Teeth gnashing or grinding is not unusual, but some people do this so hard that they can cause damage to their teeth. Report It

Reply:There are a few theories.

A couple of them are pretty straightforward; that you're afraid of getting old or dying (death in general, not just you).

You may also be afraid of how you look to other people; that you might be "losing face" or respect from others.
Reply:...more than half of the world gets that dream, i don't think it means anything, you were just a tad too tired
Reply:Well, superstition has it that when you dream your teeth are falling out, someone is going to die. I don't know if it's true though.
Reply:Superstition would tell you that anyone who is showing up in dreams about losing your teeth will die......

Sorry.
Reply:Introspect, follow, ask and understand your mental processes.

I did this, and I've had similar dreams like yours. We're simply afraid, and our mind just plays out the fantasy as if it is real. This is how fear works. You fear your pencilbox, and your mind jumps into fantasizing about how it can be threatening.

You fear waking up and finding that your teeth are truly missing, and there you have it.
Reply:You have a fear that you are losing control of your life or health.

Reply:if ur cat is still only a few months old im sure everythings fine but if its really worrying u check with ur vet
Reply:hi.

okay how old is kitty? if she is under 2 probably kitten teeth. older cats can loose teeth too. ours lost a fang 3 years ago and she was 10 years old at that time. if she is over 2 take her to a vet for a dental exam there are causes for them to loose teeth just like their humans. good luck
Reply:your kitty is loosing her baby teeth and maybe she is loosing her teeth a lot cause something you feed her or something watch your kitty very carefully i had a dog and she lost her baby teeth too dont be worried it happens to all animals
Reply:First of all how often does she loose teeth? If it is on a regular basis maybe something is wrong like if she looses one tooth every single day I guess something is wrong if she looses them once a week something could be wrong but as you say she is about 4-6 months old this I would say if it is on a regular basis take her to a veterinarian but if it is not on a regular basis I would wait and see if it starts happening on a regular basis to start to worry about you cat or kitten but it might have been a stray cat or kitten so even if nothing is wrong I would still take it to the vetaranarion
Reply:I have always owned a cat since I was 7. I have never known them to lose teeth-I guess mine all ate theirs or something. I raised a total of 5 from a kitten on and like I said the teeth thing is a surprise to me. Take him/her to the vet.
