Cat losing teeth?

My cat knocked one of her fangs out about three weeks ago but I have now noticed that some of her small front teeth are missing. My hubbie says she is losing her baby teeth but I am worried as she is five years old. Do I need to take her the vet and what come be the problem?

Cat losing teeth?
Cats often lose the tiny teeth between their incisors (fangs) as they grow older. Those teeth have very short roots and really don%26#039;t have any function other than space-fillers while the incisors are coming in when they are kittens, to that the fangs come in straight.

No need to take her to the vet because those tiny teeth are being lost, but you should take her in to have the knocked-out fang checked. Sometimes a bit of root remains in the jaw and later abscesses.
Reply:vet
Reply:She needs a vet. She lost her baby teeth five years ago as a growing kitten. She may have an infection or gum disease.
Reply:she could have gingivitis

alot of cats get it at this age

Reply:The health of cats teeth depends mostly on the diet, try feeding her dry food, do go to vet for advice on cause, could be gum disease, some cats are prone to it. Try brushing cats teeth with special toothbrush and paste, buy same at petshop or vets.
Reply:She%26#039;s definitely no longer a baby. You should definitely take her to the vet. It%26#039;s probably a treatable, non-serious disease of some sort, but still needs a vet%26#039;s care. Good luck!
Reply:I would take her to the vet my cats lost all their baby teeth by 1
Reply:Baby teeth are gone a long time ago, take her to a vet before she loses any more, hope it isn%26#039;t to late, she might have gotten infection when she knocked out her fang. Wonder how a cat knocks out her tooth, did she run into the wall?? Well anyways she needs a vet, bad teeth could cause other problems.
Reply:Baby teeff at five years old huh? Maybe on another planet but anything is possible. Maybe when she accidentally broke the fang, she broke the others at the same time. Best bet, take her to the vet immediately because it could affect her feeding herself, which would be bad. Good luck.
