stop smoking - can't help you with this one. this is my only vice still. i have tried to quit smoking and i can't

Eating properly will help you lose weight, plus a little exercise. If you work, try going for a walk for half an hour during your lunch hour. Try to drink plenty of water each day, not exceeding the recommended amount.





Stopping smoking is tricky. Part of the worry for many people is that you will put on huge amounts of weight. In general the maximum amount of weight put on is up to 9-10 pounds, but many people don't put on that much, maybe just 3 or 4 pounds, and it will come off again. It might be worth visiting your doctor's surgery and see if they have someone you can talk to about giving up smoking and what method (i.e. nicotine patches, gum, etc) would best suit you. It seems to be a good idea to plan to give up smoking, i.e. have a day to start, know what action you are going to take when those cravings set in, and have a support system, whether its members of your family, friends or colleagues.





Although there are many home systems for whitening teeth, it may still be best to visit your dentist, who knows the condition of your teeth and will be able to give you the best treatment for whitening.





And your feet ... ask around and find a chiropodist that comes highly recommended. The chiropodist will help treat your problem, but you may need to also look at underlying causes. Are you wearing correctly fitting shoes, length and width? The chiropodist should be able to advise you on prevention measures too. It also might be a good idea to get one of those foot spas, which are fairly cheap these days, and use it at least once a week. Not only for your feet, but it means you will have to sit down and relax for a little while. Use a nice aromatherapy essence in the water, and just chill for a bit.





Now your feet are like new, don't forget your hands and nails. Get yourself a good handcream and use it regularly, and it doesn't hurt to rub a little of the excess into your elbows to stop them being dry. And if your fingernails are not in good condition, pop along for an early visit to a manicurist to get them sorted out, and go back again before your wedding to have them looking beautiful for the big day, when that wedding ring slides on to your finger for the first time.





That leaves your hair. Here your hairdresser needs to be your best friend. Concentrate on keeping your hair in the best possible condition, and talk to your hairdresser about what look you want on the day and if that is realistic given the cut and condition of your hair. Remember to go along for a practice wedding hairdo at least two weeks before your wedding, taking any headgear, so that both you and your hairdresser are confident that it is going to work.





Your makeup for the big day is important. If you are planning to do it yourself or with the help of a family member or friend, then practise putting it on several times, and wear it for a few hours, so that you are happy your look works and stays on for the necessary length of time. If you are going to use a professional to put on your makeup, make sure you have a full consultancy with him/her and have at least one practice run.





I would also recommend that you try on your full wedding outfit with accessories at least a week before the wedding, to make sure everything fits and goes on as you plan. Don't forget to buy your shoes well in advance, and wear them around the house to wear them in so they are comfortable for your wedding day.





And underneath that beautiful wedding dress ensure you are wearing lingerie that does your figure justice. If you haven't already, go and get professionally measured for the correct size of bra either at a lingerie shop or department store. The correct size will make all the difference, feeling comfortable and shaping you correctly, and will do justice to your wedding dress. You may also want to consider "big pants" that will hold your shape and not show a Visible Panty Line.
