Does anyone know the relevance of losing your teeth and your life being in danger in your dreams?

Yes, something to do with loosing old ways, and starting afresh. Pretty traumatic in some cases, hence the strong symbolism.

Don't know the answer but I have the same dreams wonder how many other people do, WOW!!
Reply:teeth - Falling out: Loss of control over certain aspects of one's life. Powerlessness, unable to influence things or the outcome of things important. Loss of self-esteem in a situation or a chronic problem.

Reply:At its most extreme, losing teeth in a dream is meant to signify death. I've dreamed about losing teeth before and its really not nice :( they seem to be very vivid and realistic, you wake up and are suprised that you still have your teeth! I think its anxiety related and of course doesnt have to mean death, just that you are worried about something, perhaps a fear of losing something .... try and relax, do some meditation before bedtimes to calm yourself.

Reply:I would imagine that you have some concern or worrying over something that has occurred recently in your life and it has triggered that concern into an age related thought in your mind.


Do a scan of what has happened recently and then that should clear this thought. Give it a try!!!

Reply:I am fairly sure that losing teeth in a dream is about getting old, and being in danger either a stress release or a way of playing out your fears. It really depends on how your life is endangered, and what this particular threat, and also the way in which you lose your teeth means to you. For example: Someone who works in an elderly care home who is quite used to seeing people who are dying has a different attitude to death than someone who works in a supermarket. Someone who works as a dentist sees teeth differently than a gardener. Its more personal than just being able to tie down a symbol to one meaning, they are a good place to start from, but you need to look more deeply at what the situation means for you. Remember that you are every character in the dream, and problems and worries can become people in your dreams ( so a big unpaid gas bill can become an axe wielding maniac - who perhaps is called Bill, or Gaz? You need to think outside the box a bit)

Reply:I have had similar dream about teeth.It usually is when going through a particularly hard time. In hind sight i had this dream a lot when a close family member was ill and dying.I have also heard it means you are feeling insecure.
