I dreamt that i was losing all my teeth and the dream felt pretty real what do you think it meant?

i had to reach into my mouth and pull out my teeth i heard that dreams can mean certain things jjust wondering if anyone has had the same kind of dream

thanks

I dreamt that i was losing all my teeth and the dream felt pretty real what do you think it meant?
I have this dream ALL the time too!

If you believe in the psychoanalyst kind of stuff or dream analysis then I have heard it means that

1.) You are afraid of getting old

2.) You have a fear of embarrassing yourself

3.) You have a fear of being unattractive

Personally, I think my dreams of loosing my teeth stem from memories of being a child and loosing my baby teeth. Loosing teeth as a kid is a huge milestone and my brain is still remembering and reliving the experience in my dreams possibly.

Also, it might be due to grinding your teeth in your sleep: hearing and feeling your teeth click together or grind might sway the dream to thoughts of teeth and loosing them.

My dreams of loosing my teeth also increased after I got my wisdom teeth extracted. Although I was drugged up, I am perhaps remembering or reliving the experience of getting those babies yanked out of my head.
Reply:ha maybe it is time for a check up with ur dentist :)
Reply:I have had that dream. I looked it up and it said it could mean a unresolved problem.
Reply:It means stop eating meat or you will loose all of your teath. No joke meat destroys the enzymes in teh mouth. Flesh is not meant for human beings. It is only food for animals. go to stephen-knapp. for details on how to be a vegetarian and why.
Reply:That comes from a fear of growing old.
Reply:I have had those dreams many times and it scares me because I was told that it means something bad god I hope not! I doubt it, I think it signifies your worry's and thoughts seeing that I have so many it all kinda clicks together.

Oh and Jayshri - I'm a vegetarian ok!
Reply:i have never had a dream like that.but it might mean your gona lose your teeth!anyway thats a pretty weird dream of yours
Reply:you are going through something and you feel like you are losing control so that what the teeth coming out means
Reply:It was your pituitary gland or something like that working a little too hard. I've had the same dream and so have others. It's something like a lucid dream, a dream percieved as real. It's just a bonus from life. Pretty cool huh?
Reply:I have had those dreams many times.....I don't know if it means anything...
Reply:I have that dream frequently. I have heard several variations on it's meaning but I recently came to my own conclusion about it. First I heard that it could be a fear of aging.

Then I heard that it means that there is something I dislike about myself.

Then recently when I woke up with a headache (this happens once in a while anyways) and my teeth were very sore, I realized that I was grinding my teeth. When I realized that, I also realized that I have been doing this for a really long time, not only when I sleep but during the day without even realizing it. Now that I am aware of the fact that I grind my teeth, I seem to have stopped having the dreams. It is however very hard to stop myself from grinding even though I'm more aware of it. Good Luck!
Reply:The fear of ageing or death. Also apprehension about maturing and facing independance and responsibility. In some cultures, it means your brother or son is in trouble.
Reply:loosing teeth is contradiction dream if they were in good condition when they fell out then this is a good omen but if your teeth decayed before they fell out this is a bad omen. both omens are usually in the financial area. (",)
Reply:This used to be a recurring dream of mine only the more I pulled the bits of teeth out the more my mouth filled up and I'd begin choking. The last time I dreamt it I got all of the bits of teeth out of my mouth and I've never dreamt it again since then.

I found this page that gives some interpretations. I dont know how much weight we should give to dream analysis but here is the link anyway.

Reply:I think the tooth fairy must have been hit on the head. She may have in your bedroom looking for childrens teeth.I think this dream means you should pray for the tooth fairy to get better.
Reply:in our native beliefs(Philippines beliefs to be exact), it means that someone in your family relationship (or near - related relationship) would die (i dont mean to offend you but this is some of the beliefs.)

to contrary this kind of dilemna, bite a hard object (a bark of a tree would be the best) and dont tell everyone what would you dreamed on (just to be safe)

thats it!!!
Reply:it means that you need independance and more power in life, and also means you will have news from interests you are anxious over. You also need more nourishment...I got this from a dream readers site...I am not this knowledgeable about this, i just research. Hope this helped!
Reply:Dreams like that are metaphors, but not too far from what's going on in your body. Freudian connections like "losing your teeth means fear of death/loss of control/etc." are ridiculous. Maybe you have some loose teeth or some cavities, and your subconscious is trying to inform your conscious.

I had this recurring dream of chewing too much bubble gum and then not being able to get it all out of my mouth -- most of it getting stuck to my gumline. Upon investigation, there was a pretty clear correlation between the dreams and the plaque buildup along my gumline.
Reply:Quite possibly, nothing ...

Reply:Insecurity and vulnerabity regarding an unsolved problem...the images in your head of not having any teeth forces you to look at that the problem is on the surface and it is eating or rotting away at your subconsciences.

You must confront your problem to stop the dream. By you saying, you were pulling them out yourself..means you are doing the damage to yourself personally.
Reply:Maybe you're just going through a really hard time, doing something which you find hard to accomplish...like pulling teeth? And somehow, in your dreams, you accomplish it, just as easily as you wish in real life!
