My 9 yr old wants braces but she is still losing her teeth when is the right time?

You are going to need to consult an orthodontist. Depending on the severity the dentist may opt to go ahead and do it now or he may decide to wait. If he does decide to wait, he or she will let you know at what age to bring your daughter back.

I'm not a dentist but definitely wait until she has all her adult teeth, braces can be fitted at any age afterwards.
Reply:No. The most common braces fuse to the teeth. I don't think you want to bring her to the dentist constantly.
Reply:You should consult a dentist and not people on here who really don't know.
Reply:I would say get her braces as soon as she gets all her permanent teeth.
Reply:Wait until she's at least a teenager, but 14-15 is a good time
Reply:A consultation at this age is a good idea. Often the orthodontist takes into consideration the growth of your child and eruption of adult teeth into the treatment plan. Also very often a consultation is free of charge. I would consult your regular dentist or ask your friends who have children in braces.
