Should my kitten be losing his teeth?

My kitten is 7 months old. I noticed yesterday that a tooth had fallen out. When I looked inside his mouth his upper gums were red and some teeth were loose. Do kittens loose their milk teeth, and should this be happening now... help I'm really worried! He seems happy and unfazed."

Should my kitten be losing his teeth?
This is perfectly normal and your kitten is at about the right age for it. I have a five month old kitten that has started losing those tiny teeth right in the front. Most of the time this goes unnoticed because people don't check their cat's mouths that often and cats usually swallow their teeth since they are so small (but not always). I check her teeth every day so she will get used to it. This will help later at vet checks, giving her medicine, brushing her teeth, or checking for illnesses or injury. I think my other cat lost her canines (the fangs) around 6 or 7 months. I wouldn't worry, but if you step on one...ouch!

Edit: I found a link with everything you ever wanted to know about dog and cat teeth;

Reply:Sure these are milk teeth and should be gone by now.
Reply:kittens are no different from humans when it comes to teeth. baby teeth are shed and adult teeth grow in.

Yes, it is normal and there is nothing to worry about unless the kitten stops eating from having teeth cutting pains.
Reply:Yes they lose their baby teeth. Your cat is fine as long as he can still eat.
Reply:When we were trying to figure out how old my newly adopted cat was, the vet asked if he lost any of his baby teeth yet. He said this should happen when they are about six months old.
Reply:didnt you lose your teeth when you were a kid
Reply:yes that is very normal its ok thought it soppose to happen
Reply:If he is otherwise happy and healthy he is probably just losing baby teeth. That is about the right age for it.
Reply:yes kittens lose thier baby teeth and get thier adult teeth
Reply:Yes kittens lose their milk teeth and grow adult teeth.

It happens at around 6 months old usually so he is at the right age.
Reply:i think a vets visit would be a good idea.

best checked out I think

Good luck

Reply:it scared me too when our kitten llost his teeth, i only ever found one, took him to vets, but vet was not concerned, it is normal. However if he stops eating then get him looked at.
Reply:Yes kittens lose teeth. I have managed to save a few. Usually they swallow them and we never see them My Prints jumped in my lap and spit it in my had. It was so funny. I freaked out and called the vet. I could not believe that she did this, I thought she had a major problem. He told me that it was normal. She did this a couple of more times and I saved them all.
