I had a dream where I was losing my teeth?

What could this mean?

I had a dream where I was losing my teeth?
I had a dream like this over and over agian, so I did quite a bit of research and found a ton of different interpretations for this. The two that I found the most were...

1. You are wanting or expecting a bit change. Some sources say that you fear this change, and that is why something bad is happening to you, and other sources say that the change in your physical being represents your excitedness for the upcoming change.

2. That you are apprehensive about your physical appearance for some reason. It may not necessarily be an issue with your teath or mouth, but just something in your physical appearance that you don't like.

Also, a couple sources actually combine these two ideas and said that this dream is representative of a change in your physical appearance, either a recent change or a desired change.

Overall, there really wasn't any one answer, as you would expect with dreams, but those are the most common that I found, and the combined explaination was what matched my situation.
Reply:You're afraid of apples!!!!

Haha 2 points for me
Reply:maybe you will lose your teeth or someone you know will or maybe it was nothing
Reply:i think it means nothing...tho you lose your teeth when you get old.so yea
Reply:Oh, me too one time a few years ago! My aunt told me it was because of insecurity... you're afraid of losing something.

"LOSING TEETH IN A DREAM

Did you know that this is a very common dream? In fact various theories of interpretation have been put forward for this.

It is a dream where you suddenly find that you do not have teeth, or that they keep falling out, suddenly. Certainly bizarre, this dream can be interpreted as a readiness for change.

--Just as you lose milk teeth while moving from child to adulthood, so also this dream is telling you that it is time for a massive change in your attitude to life, or asking you to adapt yourself to new circumstances. This is one of the classical interpretations.

--At a more ground level, it could just mean that you are insecure about certain aspects, or

--It could just mean you are afraid of losing your teeth!"
Reply:You were getting old...?
Reply:I read somewhere a while ago that it supposedly meant you could or(if you swallowed them) are pregnant.
Reply:Do not know whether this is a myth but everytime i dream of that, someone close to me will be passing away...and it

has been true..dunno...could be a self-fulfillng prophecy.
Reply:GiGi is right, this is a very common dream, one that I've had several times. I'll be dreaming that I'm eating something and my teeth start not only to fall out, but to crumble. It's a horrible dream, but I was relieved when I found out that many other people have it too. I've noticed I'm more likely to have dreams about losing teeth during times of stress, and since one of those times was shortly after my mother died, a sense of loss may be involved too.

But for me, I think it's more related to fearing I can't control something or other that's important in my life. Other disturbing recurring dreams for me are finding myself unexpectedly barefoot in a place where there is broken glass everywhere, or somehow losing my center of gravity and being so dizzy that I can't keep from falling over.

Dreams like those are awful, but they're also normal, unless you're having them really often. I have a really bad one maybe once every couple of months. I hope it will help to know that you are FAR from alone in having dreams like these.

(Just by the way: for a while I was taking melatonin occasionally when I had trouble sleeping. I've stopped, because although melatonin is widely regarded as safe, I noticed that I was more likely to have nightmares after taking it. I've noticed a similar effect with cough syrups that contain codeine. If you take any sleep aids, you might examine whether they could be causing your nightmares to be more vivid or more frequent.) Best of luck.
Reply:I like researching before I answe quetsions but this one was alot easier then i thought it just showed up!

Lots of Luck keep dreaming!
Reply:I know there are a tone of theories on what this means, and since it is all stuff to simply ponder on, here is another theory.

Before we have teeth, we are entirely dependent. To dream of losing your teeth may be an indication you are making decisions that threaten your independence. It's not a bad thing (like marriage), but if you are unintentionally sacrificing your independence, it would serve you to evaluate how.
Reply:You may have uttered some false or foul words and those words are coming back to haunt you.
Reply:I had this dream about 6 months ago it really freaked me out
